Raiders wish Tanner Muse happy birthday hours after releasing him

Tanner Muse has certainly received better birthday gifts.

The Raiders waived their 2020 third-round pick on Monday, which happened to be Muse’s 25th birthday. Shortly after announcing the roster move, the organization’s official Twitter account still wished Muse a ‘Happy Birthday’ in a now-deleted tweet.

Muse, a linebacker out of Clemson, missed his entire rookie season due to a toe injury. He had been taking starter reps throughout training camp and was expected to be a core special teams contributor.
