Baylor vs. Kansas prediction, line: Bears will get revenge

In last season’s visit to Waco, Texas, Kansas defeated Baylor, at the time the No. 1 team in the AP poll, 64-61. The Jayhawks will look to duplicate the feat on Monday.

Unfortunately for Kansas, Baylor is an improved outside shooting team, ranking fifth in the country in 3-point shooting percentage. The Bears make 42.3 percent of them, a big reason why they are 12-0 with all of their wins coming by at least eight points.

Baylor backs up that outside shooting with a sturdy defense that ranks sixth in the nation in fewest points allowed on a per-possession basis for coach Scott Drew. Kansas sits outside the top 100 in that category after rating third last season.

Baylor is ranked 25th and Kansas 28th in rebounding percentage with the Bears doing a better job of getting offensive rebounds for an attack that ranks fourth in the country in points scored on a per possession basis.

With Baylor also forcing a turnover on 26.4 percent of opponents’ possessions, the third-highest rate in the nation, the Bears have what it takes to make a statement that they are the class of Big 12 and serve up revenge from last year’s loss.

The Play: Baylor, -9.
